We are all sleeping through the night now, (mostly) we have started the boys on some solids, and hopefully sitting will be mastered very shortly! But onto the photos...

It's pitch black and you hear a baby cry (or maybe two at the same time if you are lucky)...what time is it you think to yourself.. I feel like I've been asleep for 10 hours..god I hope the baby hasn't been crying for that long..you roll out of bed, your shoulder hits the wall as you try to get your balance you spin...you feel kind of sick and dizzy at the same time...the baby's cry is starting to get louder and more distressed, I'm coming sweet you yell out...you run your hand along the table trying to find your phone or watch to get the time, things crash to the floor...gosh it's 3 am, I've only been asleep for an hour.
You change the nappy on auto pilot, make his bottle up (its 10 steps to the kitchen with your eyes closed), put it in his mouth then you experience those micro sleeps that people talk about when they are driving...you jerk yourself awake, thereby jerking the baby while he is trying to feed...WAKE UP! you tell yourself...5 minutes later you feel yourself drifting off to sleep again with baby in your arms....you think to yourself you'd better wake yourself up as the second baby starts crying for his bottle...OMG I never knew you could be this tired..
Then you look down into the little ones face and he's looking straight back at you, I'm awake now gorgeous I'm awake!
Little Kurt had to have an operation to fix two hernias he had in his groin, but that didnt stop his growth spurt. He is a little tiger! And there is no stopping Hudson either. They are just perfect!
Are you freaking kidding me? Nice outfit Joann? xo
Love that mobile Mum!
Kurt (he has a little conjunctivitis)
Heres Hudson, which reminds mummy she needs better photos of just Hudson!

We are outa here!
It's been ground hog day in our room at svelte! Our life has been broken down into beautiful 3 to 4 hour blocks...feeding, burping, changing nappies, putting to bed, cleaning up the storm that the unit turned into during last events, getting ready for it all again in a few hours.
The night feeds are now done on remote control..we have it set up so that not much thought has to go into the event.
I'm really looking forward to getting home and getting the boys into a routine and being able to utilise all the baby mod cons we have waiting for them there...like a sterilising machine rather than steam bags just for starters!
Hudson has this eating thing down pat, Kurt is slowly getting used to it, it's actually quite a bit of work (nice work) making sure that he has had enough food every feed.
We lived through the getting out process! Just the flights left to go...we saw Poonam on the 11th feb and contracted her same day, we had all travel documents to leave by the 22nd, so 10 working days, not bad eh? The worst of the lot was the FRRO process. That was ugly, and not good with two new borns! How did you parents with triplets do it?
We met our beautiful surrogate which I will always remember, and said our good byes to all the girls at SCI. It's taken us two days to get all our gear together in our home away from home but we are SO ready to go home.
Good luck to all yet to get to this stage, the experience has definitely been worth it!
Xox

Don't make me go to the FRRO!

Bring lots of bibs & little face washers!

Together again
It has been a little scary with Kurt being so little and his feeding regime. However u tube has an abundance of training on bottle feeding premmies to give you some confidence.
It's really action packed here in our little indian home. I do not know how you couples do it with triplets!

Blurry...
We have only been in Delhi for..wait for it, just had to count off my fingers, then had to look up what day it was...yes Friday 5 days, is that all?
We have our most gorgeous little master Hudson, who has us just about under his control in his routine, today we pick up Kurt little master no 2. I have been holding my breath for Kurt, as he was so little, his feeding tube came out yesterday after the family trip to the doctor for the DNA tests. Aussies this is blood test not swab, so you can feed the babies before you go!
I have to say that ours was not a breeze thanks John for rubbing it in ;), due to some miscommunications it was horrific to say the least, but all done now and word is the samples have arrived back in Australia.
Poonam assistance has been great, if you only use her services to stay out of the Delhi traffic it is worth every penny!!!
The team at SCI have been very efficient, none of it could happen without Rahul and his team who will do all the driving as well as organise laundry, sim cards, money change you name it, and I do not have any complaints about svelte. Ps all you Ips on the way over, try and get a room on the mall side of the building to avoid the traffic noise and bring garbage bags...weird eh?
Now I have been having trouble with phones, cameras and Internet, so only one photo but more to follow soon now that we are organised...here's Hudson having a quick sponge bath, screamed the hotel down in the bath, so will stick to these for.a while.
And ps all you Ips considering this process....all the dramas, anxieties, sleepless nights, is soooo worth it!

Tough week? Not so tough after all...
I have been getting into trouble for not blogging...sorry about that. Bit been going on...
I had all my beautiful friends and family over for a baby shower last Saturday. One special one missing was my little sister who lives too far away, but is saving to see us when babies arrive My luck it must have been the hottest day of the year, I lost what I was drinking in champagne in sweat! We received some beautiful thoughts and gifts and it was touching how genuinely excited and happy my nearest and dearest are for us. As you guys know, as Ips who have been through the infertility ringer, it's hard to sit back and relax and truly believe this is all happening, so for our closest to acknowledge the extension of our family was a big thing for us!
But after a few champagnes on Saturday, Saturday night we received email from SCI, and I worked out why mums don't drink to much (it's in case they have to deal with a kiddy drama!). The email told us that our lovely sm was having contractions and stomach pain and she was admitted to hospital.
O oh, that's too early! Too early! We were 32 weeks at that stage, we had received a scan that morning and I had read (sometimes you don't need all that info from dr google) that scans have been heard to bring on labor. No update on Sunday as SCI closed so next one was Monday night for us, babies going well but sm still in pain. Scans for babies again on Tuesday, Tuesday night we received them and showed that babies have started powering on the weight. We have had no further scans but have had daily updates with much the same information. So babies sounds like they are having a great time in there and giving our poor sm trouble. I hope that's not a sign of things to come!
So I haven't been the easiest person to live with the last week(again) I have tried to relax about the situation, sent some crazy emails to margarida and meg as well as SCI, called my 'BFF' a few times to 'unload' and following advice started putting my energy into positive instead of negative. Packing has started which brought on another mild reaction, as I thought I was well and truly organised....not
organised! So that has kept me busy getting organised!
Reading blogs during the week has really brought it home as well as other ips I have been following are all getting ready for their impending births, so why wouldn't I be as well at this time? I think it's been hard to imagine that after all this time it's actually happening!
We will not have another update until early next week as its a holiday in India as well (australia day holiday for us!) so will post if I have more information.
Congratulations to all those with beautiful babies in arms this week, and good luck to all those preparing and on their way to India. Special good luck and thoughts to those that had an especially hard week gone, who after reading their blog put mine into perspective. Xo

Week 30
I had to check with baby headquarters what week we were in...I'd lost track. Week 30 it is...so only 5 to 7 weeks to go!!
That's putting things into perspective; I'm now madly downloading previously read lists of what to pack and what paperwork to start getting organised....
Nursery is finished...we are not due another update for another fortnight...so will post again then.
Well...just one more shelf to go in...
Best wishes to all xo

The Wave
A few waves this blog...firstly the work wave! Wave of work that is...our industry (building) is ridiculous this time of year. The older I get the more I dislike it (stronger words used in closed circles!) Its like the world is ending at Christmas and everything has to be finished before we break for the holidays.
We do get a lot of new jobs though that have to be rushed, so it all helps towards the twins nursery roll out!
Oh not forgetting we also got married in the last month :) We had a fantastic day, just small with family, and very casual. We had a great time. Our twins even got a mention, so every one is eagerly awaiting their arrival.
Thanks so much for all the wishes and beautiful wedding cards guys! Everyone has been really sweet
The resort wouldn't let us bring our furbabies so we had them put on the wedding cake!
Reading some blogs this morning of new arrivals has brought tears to my eyes, so Im hoping I can hold myself together when it finally happens for us. Gosh it has felt the time has dragged on and on. People saying the time is going so quickly....NO ITS NOT! I guess we have waited 6 years, another couple of months (but with a positive outcome this time!!) should be bearable.
Plus it will give me time to finish off the last minute items for nursery and babies arrival and dont forget the three week stint overseas to collect them.
Im still struggling with the idea that we will finally have/be a family. Its hard to believe that it's
almost our turn. I guess the first few sleepless nights will sort that out for us. Reading another great blog, they mention as their new baby grows every day, the pain they went through to have her diminishes just that little bit more. Well said! Looking forward to that!
Our neighbors baby is a gentle reminder of what is in store for us. He has just started crying as I write... I hear him early in the morning and around 5 in the afternoon, he really puts it on!! It will be a competition soon! These are the neighbors when we first moved in, had a party or three every weekend, regular mid week sessions, lots of drinking, smoking, etc etc and had not one scrap of trouble it seems falling pregnant. I saw her out the front of her house on our last failed IVF attempt,
very pregnant, and burst into tears! My poor hubby...:)
Well, now the good stuff... the last wave, but not the least - THE BABY WAVE

Surprise scan..
I wasn't even fretting about it, but our 3D scan come through over the weekend. It was great not worrying about it before the event occurred!
We have been really busy organising our wedding though, so that has probably taken the edge of the whole baby thing lately.
M and I got engaged YEARS ago, we thought we would get the family thing rocking along then get hitched. However, the family thing did not cooperate with us at all!! So the wedding got pushed back and pushed back again so that yet another IVF cycle could be paid for.
Well good bye IVF (I dont miss you at all!) and hello babies...here they are, asleep (i hope a sign of times to come ;)
They are both on the small side according to Dr Google but I am trying not to start hyperventalating about that just yet. See how we go with the scans, due in another month.
Hang in there babies, we are waiting for you!
I have to admit that I haven't been keeping up with all your blogs. I have a confession...I read a few bad news ones and it started freaking me out.
Im really sorry for the bad news guys (and my lack of support), I hope that good times are just ahead for you. Please know that some of us are not the most eloquent and dont think that our words can help with such horrible pain.
Take care everyone

Good grief...
This waiting for scans is brutal! Hubby insists he has had a view of how I would have been had I actually been able to get pregnant...,with my extreme mood swings as we await news of our little ones.
I only notice buying anything to do with babies one day followed the very next day with extreme regret, why did I buy that, what if something horrible happens....followed the day after those negative feelings with,... just enjoy it, be positive nothing will go wrong...god give me strength, it has definitely been stretched (understatement) over the last couple of years.
At 16 weeks we have cots, drawers, some linen and baby clothes coming out of our ears! But it's sooooo cute! Imagine us buying baby clothes for our own babies...
Anyway without further delay, scans are all ok. Our lovely surrogate is doing a fantastic job!!!
Pictures attached and ...3d ones next scan in a month yay!,!
Oops had trouble posting the scans results...

Twin experience...
Hi all, we are on our first month wait for scan update, so I have been entertaining myself in baby stores. That is, up until the point that I get a headache and my eyes start glazing over in front of the sales assistant...my brain, swirling with the number of decisions to be made about which product for what use and when to use,...then double it!
I have also started having fun with my answers to their questions of when I am due :)
But now is the time to call in the experts in blogland....HELP!
What did all you experienced parents use for transporting your little ones around whilst in Delhi, I need all the details! From sleeping arrangements, to Delhi taxis, through to the plane ride home...any information would be of assistance at the stage I am at!
gcfamily@live.com.au
Thanks guys and congratulations to all in the latest flurry of births and bfp's

Finally...
We made it to 12 weeks! Gosh that was as painful as the 2 week wait til the pregnancy tests!
The last 2 weeks have contained really high days (with baby clothes purchases!) followed the very next day with a panic attack, thinking we will have to return all the purchases...
The week ended with a panicked call to Meg asking for "reassurance"! But then the following morning the beautiful pictures came through with a report that I didnt understand a word of..'the liquor is adequate.." A great big glass of scotch and soda was what immediately came to mind...lucky Dr Google doesnt enjoy the 'liquor' as much as me!
Check out our lovelies..
As we waited anxiously for news of our pregnancy I read in the Sydney Morning herald over the weekend, of a couple that went through SCI.
As they sat there holding their beautiful little girl who would not have been born without the help of surrogacy in India, they complained of hidden costs (did they not read the pages and pages of information setting out all costs?)
I thought to myself, have they not been through IVF in Australia, where in my experience, every time I walked into the IVF office, I was charged some other 'incidental' that was news to me. Where the only option they give is to do cycle after cycle after cycle and keep taking your money when they have no idea why these procedures are not working in completing your family.
I hope that this negative publicity does not effect future Indo-Australasian babies or what I have to go through to get my babies home.
And No – this isn’t how I wanted it to be either, but unfortunately this is my lot. I am not going to take out the frustration of my situation on others, who had nothing to do with my predicament.
I am not under the impression that pregnancy is going to run according to plan, yes there will be costs and 'events' I didnt budget (or prepare myself) for...I know that would have been the case even if I was able to become pregnant myself!
In my opinion, in India or Australia, this situation we are in is HORRIBLE but it does not excuse you from doing your due diligence...then praying and hoping.
Good luck in your own journeys

10 weeks and all's well...
Phew...a little...for another 2 weeks. This is really nerve racking. When does anyone that had to go through this to have a family ever start to relax and enjoy?
"Baby can now make small un-coordinated movements. Fingers toes and joints are now fully developed and your baby even has fingernails and hair! The nervous system is starting to develop along with the large muscles and the digestive system"

Rolled over..
... to check the time, (5.20 Sunday morning, just practicing!) and there's an email there from the lovely Neha...god should I open it..it's early, that is the email is early..it was due Tuesday morning to my calculations... Maybe not. ANYWAY
Two heartbeats still there, 144 and 150bpm. I, of course have googled and 150 is "normal" LOVE NORMAL..and everything is "fine" nothing to worry about Neha tells me in the email (they don't know ME!) They are now called a fetus which means little one....eyes, nose have started to form and the chin...embryonic tail has gone ...
We have taken another breath and will now continue to hold that waiting for the next 2 week scan.
Good luck and thoughts going out to all in the various stages of this bizarre and amazing process
